What:
We need your donation of silent and live auction items such as gift certificates, celebrity memorabilia, retail items, home decor, artwork, travel packages and other high-end specialty items

My name is Oscar. I am a six year old, 17 pound Pekingese mix. I was rescued from an outlying animal control facility where my former family left me because they could no longer care for me. I am a sweet and playful guy who loves my toys. I would probably do best with older children as I can get a bit grouchy if I am played with too roughly. I fancy myself an agility dog. I have springs in my legs which I use to launch myself into your lap if I can catch you sitting down. My favorite hobbies are kissing and snuggling. I am definitely a lap dog. How can you resist this silky hair that begs to be stroked? I would like to be an only dog, as I simply prefer the companionship of people. I am full of charm and guarantee to make you laugh with my antics. I am leash trained but I am told that I am a “door bolter”. I am wonderful little guy who is looking for a family to appreciate me.

An educational bookfair for children of all ages. Entertainment will include pet-related storybook character appearances, short films, book signings and storytelling with an emphasis on learning respect and care for our companion animals

Clifford the Big Red Dog will appear in the store throughout the book fair.

Barnes & Noble will donate a percentage of sales during the Paws to Read bookfair. Please print this voucher and bring it with you to the bookfair. Be sure to use the voucher to make your purchases. Vouchers are also available at our shelter on 14th street in Midtown.
